What you do in life chooses you, can choose not to do it you can choose to try to do something safer, your vocation chooses you at some point when you create yourself to make it, you're going to have to either let that creation go, and take a chance on being loved or hated for whom you are, or you're going to have to kill who you are, and fall into your grave grasping onto a character that you never were.

I don't exist, so they're all characters that I've played including Jim Carrey, and Joel Bearish, including any of those things they're all characters, Jim Carrey was a less intentional character because I thought I was just building something that people would like, but it was a character, I played the guy that was free from concern so that people who watched me would be free from concern.

 I used to think Jim Carrey is all that, I was just a flickering light, a dancing shadow, the great nothing masquerading, as something you can name seeking shelter in caves and Foxholes, Dugout hastily, an archer searching for his target in the mirror wounded only by my arrows begging to be enslaved pleading for my chains, blinded by longing and tripping over paradise.

When your heart is in love you're floating weightless, when you lose that love, you have to re-enter the atmosphere, and it can get pretty rough you're just bouncing off one molecule onto the next ripping through them, at such a pace that they Just Ignite and explode until you find another heart that's doing the same thing has landed and cooled, and then you start to float again.
